Dade Behring and Olympus America Announce Enhanced U.S. Marketing and Distribution Relationship
San Francisco, CA - The Diagnostic Systems Group of Olympus America Inc. and Dade Behring Inc., manufacturer of Syva EMIT® drugs of abuse (DAT) and therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) products, announced today that they have finalized terms on agreements that create U.S. sales, marketing and distribution relationships.
The first agreement allows Dade Behring to sell Olympus analytical systems to the high-volume toxicology laboratories in the U.S. Dade Behring now can better meet the needs of these specialized laboratories by offering its highest quality reagents on the Olympus platform, which provides maximum throughput and optimal workflow. Olympus can sell directly to select high-volume customers and non-Syva accounts.
In addition, Olympus has secured an exclusive agreement with Dade Behring to distribute the Syva® Emit® II Plus liquid DAT reagents and Emit® 2000 liquid TDM reagents in uniquely packaged Olympus cassettes to all hospitals and laboratories in the U.S. that use Olympus analyzers. Both Olympus and Dade Behring will be able to sell to their respective customers Syva® EMIT® reagents for TDMs and DATs in convenient, bar-coded Olympus cassettes.
